LIVE Interview Demonstration
Stephen and Rock take turns engaging in Live counter-story interviews with participants. With each narrative question asked in the interview the question is typed up on the screen for everyone in the course to view. Then, each therapy question is closely studied, explained, and interrogated in terms of the Ecology of The Receiving Context the 'Client' Story was received into~ then the questions are analyzed further by the group.
Extending the Craft of Question Development (1)
Working in pairs, participants begin creating and adding their own novel interview questions to the live interview process. As a further response are therapeutic letters written and performed back to the participant 'client'. The client then responds back to the letter writer. Participant questions are typed up on the screen for everyone to view and - closely supervised, studied, explained, and closely interrogated by Stephen and Rock. As a further response therapeutic letters are written and performed back to the participant 'client'. The client then responds back to the letter writer.

Working in groups of 3 participants take turns interviewing as the Performative Therapist (PT), and acting as the Listening Therapist (LT), and Client (C). Each participant will get experience in each position. Rock and Stephen will visit and individually supervise each group of 3. Groups will then return to the main group after 45 minutes to witness work being supervised and discussed.

New ideas in Narrative Therapy
Stephen and Rock engage participants in demonstrating many different new styles of narrative therapy informed relational interviewing questions and interviewing.

Follow Up
1-1 LIVE SUPERVISION
Participants break into 4 small groups alongside a VSNT Supervisor. Supervisor's invite each participant of the group to bring a one page of transcript from a recent session. Supervisors spend up-close 1-on-1 supportive time with each participant transcript in front of the group.
NOTE: transcript supervision is how each VSNT faculty member learned their practice
What have you learned and how has your relationship changed with narrative questions?
QUESTIONS? The whole group reunites to write letters describing the 3-day experience. The celebration of words and emotion shared are often heartfelt and poetic. The deep relationship developed between supervisors and participants is one of beauty, creativity, understanding and ~ carried forward.
